- Venture beat criticises the Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, saying that “Nintendo hasn’t learned anything”

Game beat, a part of venture beat, has written a review of the Legend of Zelda: Skyward sword saying that the more he played Skyward Sword the less he liked it. Game beat awarded skyward sword only 65 out of 100.

 

- This video shows exactly how precise the controls in the legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword are.

 

Bit Block has posted a video showing how precise the motion plus controls of the legend of skyward sword are. This shows that the GameSpot review of skyward sword, which criticised the controls, could not be more wrong. As you can see from the video the video the 1:1 is near on perfect.

 

- A Big Pokémon surprise is coming at nest month’s jump fiesta

 The latest issue of Jump reveals that there will be a ‘big Pokémon surprise’ at next month’s Jump Fiesta event. Jump Festa will be held on December 17th and 18th at Makuhari Messe in Japan. Any guesses as to what the Pokémon surprise will be?

 

- Skyward sword and Super Mario 3d land both enter then top ten

 

Both Skyward Sword and Super Mario 3D land have entered the top ten of the UK all-format charts and number seven and nine respectively.  Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games 2012 also entered the charts at number 20 for the week ending November 19th.

 

- Nintendo announces a new 3DS game for e-shop

 

Nintendo of America has announced via press release that it’s publishing a brand new game on the Nintendo 3DS eShop. The game is titled Sakura Samurai: Art of the Sword. This new title sees players travel to ancient Japan and guide a young warrior as he battles waves of enemy soldiers to save a princess. The game launches in January.

- A Big 3DS Update coming 30th of Novmber                                                                                                           

A recent advert for the Nintendo 3DS by Nintendo UK states that the next big Nintendo 3DS firmware update will be available to download from November 30th. The update sees a number of new features including the much requested 3D Video Recording.

- Next call of duty game to be a sequel to black ops?

According to the rumour section of the Official PlayStation Magazine the next Call of Duty title which is due out sometime late next year will be a direct sequel to 2010′s blockbuster Call of Duty: Black Ops. The game will once again be handled by Treyarch and is a likely candidate for Wii U.

- Sony feel pressured into releasing the Playstation 4 sooner rather than later

PlayStation Europe boss Jim Ryan has confessed to Eurogamer that the company would prefer to launch the PlayStation 4 sooner rather than later due to Nintendo’s announcement that the company will release its Wii U console sometime after April 2012.

 “I think we would consider it undesirable to be significantly later than the competition [with the next PlayStation].”

- Playstation vita’s European 3G preferred partner is vodaphone

Vodafone has been confirmed as the “preferred partner” for PlayStation Vita’s 3G services in European territories.

The deal will initially include the U.K., Ireland, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Australia, New Zealand and The Netherlands, as well as “Vodafone’s Partners in France,” Sony has said.

- Playstation Vita is the most wanted console in Japan

Japanese gaming magazine/website giant, Famitsu, recently ran a poll asking its readers what they desired most for this holiday season in terms of hardware and software.

- Touch My katamari was originally for the PS3

Touch My Katamari is a launch title for Sony’s upcoming handheld, the PlayStation Vita. Published and developed by Namco Bandai, this new addition to the franchise will use motion controls to add in all-new functionality toKatamari, but it wasn’t always planned for the Vita.

In a recent interview, producer Toshiyuki Nakanishi revealed that the game was original planned out for the PlayStation 3. After having decided to make the switch to Vita, front and back touch controls were added to the game along with dual-analog control in order to make it fit on the Vita.

- The Playstation move sales hit 9 million

 IndustryGamers reports that PlayStation Move has sold nine million units worldwide, closing the gap between it and Microsoft’s Kinect peripheral. 

Sony’s motion-sensing controller has been selling at a steady pace since its launch in September 2010, while Kinect got off to a flying start with eight million units shifted in just two months. However, sales soon stalled at 10 million back in March.

- All PS3 games will be playable on the Playstaion Vita by remote play

According to EuroGamer, a firmware update for the PlayStation 3 will arrive in the future to allow remote play functionality with the PlayStation Vita throughout the whole PS3 library. 

- New little kings story game coming to PS Vita next year

Konami has confirmed that New Little King’s Story will hit PlayStation Vita in the west in 2012.

Developed by Marvelous Entertainment, the cuddly RPG is a sequel to Wii title Little King’s Story. King Corobo is on a quest to take back his kingdom from The Nightmare, with gamers utilizing Vita’s touch-screen to recruit an army to battle foes and scope out new areas. The game also boasts a day/night cycle, with the world around you changing as you army expands.

-New Xbox dashboard coming 6th of December

Microsoft has announced the release date for the latest Xbox Dashboard. The update will finish private testing and be available to all Xbox 360 owners as of December 6th. 

 

- Rayman 3: hoodlum havoc HD is heading to XBLA next year

 Ubisoft has anounced that Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc will be making its way to the Xbox Live Arcade sometime in early 2012. This port features new HD graphics that take advantage of the Xbox 360 hardware. 

 

- Microsoft respond to Xbox 360 phishing scam

 Following widespread reports that Xbox Live members had been targeted by an elaborate phishing scheme, Microsoft has issued a statement detailing how it's working to protect against the threat, including action taken to deal with any accounts that may have been compromised. 


Microsoft also denies that its security has been breached in any way, stressing that the accounts that were broken into were accessed using phishing techniques alone.

 

- New Rockband 3 bundles announced

 

Mad Catz revealed a pair of new Rockband 3 bundles for the Xbox 360 today. The bundles include the Stratocaster Guitar for beginners and intermediates as well as a version that includes the Mustang Pro-Guitar for those looking for something a little more authentic. Both bundles include a voucher that provides the owner with five free downloadable songs.

 

- New RAGE demo now available

 

A playable demo for Id Software's RAGE has made its way onto Xbox Live, a month and a half after the game's original retail launch.

The 2GB demo, downloadable here, allows players to get acquainted with the citizens of Wellspring, before getting to grips with some gunplay down in the town's well.
